Dr. Eliran Mor currently serves as the Medical Director for the California Center for Reproductive Health in Southern California. He is a reproductive endocrinologist who has been a licensed medical professional in California since 2001. He has also been certified in both obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology and infertility by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Eliran Mor, MD received his medical degree from the University of Tel Aviv-Sackler College of Medicine before completing a 4-residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. He then completed a 3-year fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Southern California. He is also currently a clinical instructor at USC.
Dr. Mor is a member, in excellent standing, of multiple prestigious medical societies, including the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society (PCRS), the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons (SLS), and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). He is also committed to conducting research in a variety of areas that affect reproductive health. Dr. Mor’s research areas of interest include polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS); emergency contraception; neuroendocrinology; insulin resistance; male factor infertility; donor sperm insemination; tubal factor infertility; IVF stimulation protocols; congenital uterine anomalies; tubal gamete/embryo transfer (GIFT/ZIFT/TET); pregnancy at advanced reproductive age; and hormone replacement therapy (HRT).
Eliran Mor, MD has been published at least a dozen times in prestigious, peer-reviewed medical journals. Some of his published works include titles such as: “Spontaneous twin gestation after vaginal dilation in a woman with uterus didelphys and bladder exstrophy,” and “Pituitary imaging is indicated for the evaluation of hyperprolactinemia.” He has been published in journals such as the Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA), Fertility and Sterility, and the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
As a medical professional, Dr. Mor spends time learning from his colleagues and peers at medical conferences and association meetings every year. He attempts to attend at least two in-person events and has presented Abstracts at international and national meetings. Dr. Mor’s abstract entitled, “Insulin resistance in polycystic ovary syndrome: Clinical implications of fasting glucose and insulin levels” was awarded the Frank Lynch Memorial Essay Award. It was presented at the 70th Annual Meeting of the Pacific Coast Obstetrical and Gynecological Society, September 16-21, 2003 in Anchorage, Alaska. Another of his abstracts entitled, “Defective autophosphorylation of the insulin receptor (APIR): A potential mechanism of insulin resistance in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)” was presented at the 59th Annual Meeting of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, October 11-15, 2003 in San Antonio, Texas. This abstract was presented with the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Fellowship Research Prize Paper Award.
Dr. Mor is considered a “patients” doctor and was named “Most Compassionate Doctor” by the American Registry. Dr. Mor works closely with his patients to provide them and their loved ones with the care and information they need in order to make an informed decision about their own care. He is also known for his commitment to personal care, and conducts all consultations, after-hour inquiries, pelvic examinations, ultrasound examinations, diagnostic procedures, assisted reproductive procedures (egg retrievals, embryo transfers…), and surgical procedures if needed. Involvement in every aspect of a patient’s fertility care and complete micromanagement of their treatment makes Dr. Mor their perfect partner. He works very closely with patients’ families as well to aid them in their journey as they start or expand their families.
